• TRAVEL INSPIRATION | POSITANO with VANESSA RIVERS

"Italians call Positano, “Heaven on earth”, and after my first visit, I now have to agree. From London, you hop on a 2.5 hr flight to Naples, and from there, you take an hour car ride down the Amalfi Coast to Positano. The drive is gorgeous, with jagged cliffs dropping straight into the ocean and green mountains, painted with colorful little towns, that shoot up to the sky. When you first catch a glimpse of Positano, it will take your breath away." -Vanessa Rivers, GlitterandMud.com

"I am often asked what my favorite hotel is, and as this is quite difficult as there are so many beautiful and different places in the world, the Hideaway Beach Resort in the Maldives definitely made it among my favorites." -MissEverywhere.com

  • WHAT DOES MADE WITH ECONYL® MEAN?

    Posted: Apr 13 2016

What if there was a better way to make clothing? What if there was a way to make the same amazing products with a significantly smaller carbon footprint? And what if there was a way to clean up our oceans and reduce waste at the same time? Well there is,  and SUMMERLOVE SWIMWEAR made with ECONYL® is doing all this and more!

ECONYL® is a 100% premium grade recycled nylon fiber that’s made from recycled materials such as discarded fishing nets recovered by the Healthy Seas Initiative. Every year, around 640,000 tons of fishing gear is lost or left in the ocean. The gear traps, injures, and kills hundreds of thousands of sea animals. Abandoned fish nets, known as ‘ghost nets’, are usually lost in storms, snagged on reefs or tangled when boats operate in crowded waters. But the Healthy Seas Initiative has given these nets a second life. Working with local fishermen, they retrieve the nets and instead of sending them to a landfill, they partner with a textiles company who use them to produce a recycled nylon called ECONYL®. This recycled material is then used to make a number of products like our eco swimwear.

Not only is our groundbreaking fabric eco-friendly, it is also high performance providing UV protection UPF 50+, 5x the shape retention, and superior resistance to suntan oil, as well as being luxuriously soft and durable. Every swimsuit comes in an organic, reusable swimwear bag, and orders are shipped in recycled mailers. By producing in the USA, using fabric made with ECONYL®, donating 1% For The Planet, and conserving resources via our reusable swimwear bags and recycled mailers, SUMMERLOVE SWIMWEAR is working to protect our earth - one eco bikini at a time.

SUMMERLOVE SWIMWEAR made with ECONYL® means that with every purchase
you are helping to clean up our oceans, reduce waste, and protect our earth for future generations...
