"My first time to Rio de Janeiro was during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. I wanted to be in on all the action. I wanted to see the Cariocas (locals residents of Rio) cry happy tears when they beat Chile. I wanted to chant "USA!" with all the drunk Americans in the streets of Brasil when we somehow lost to Germany but still advanced. Being the obnoxious American that I am, I wanted to sport my stars and stripes all around the city. I conquered that on Day 1 by parading down Ipanema Beach with an American flag. What can I say?
